About the Course
The Ride Leadership Level 1 course qualifies learners to deliver guided bike rides for groups of beginner and intermediate level adults and accompanied children on roads and cycle paths. This course is about leading and guiidng begineer and intermediate riders. A really good introduction to leading rides on the road or non technical cycle paths.
The award qualifies learners to deliver guided bike rides for groups of beginner and intermediate level adults and accompanied children on roads and cycle paths.The course covers preparing for a ride, group management, risk management, route planning and British Cycling's good practice guidelines
Please note, attendance on one of these courses does not enable you to join the HSBC UK Breeze and/or HSBC UK Guided Ride programmes. You must complete a specific Breeze or Guided Ride course to enable you to do so.
What does the course include?
The course blends online learning with an assessed one-day course. Learners receive:
30 days access to British Cycling Learning, with 4 hours of directed learning
One day of expert tuition by a British Cycling tutor including practical assessment.
